Learn to understand damage on company cars
This interactive masterclass focuses on the basics of vehicle damage and how to inspect cars in a structured and objective way. Instead of complex processes or advanced optimisation, we start with the essentials:
- What damage actually is
- Why inspection matters
- How to look at a vehicle correctly
You will learn how a correct damage inspection helps avoid unnecessary costs, confusion with drivers and uncomfortable discussions at vehicle return. We combine half a day of theory, practical exercises and directly applicable insights for SME fleets. Before we start, you are invited to a catered lunch. We end the session with an informal afterwork drink where you can exchange experiences with other professionals.
What will you learn?
After this masterclass, you will be able to:
- Recognise the most common types of damages on company cars
- Understand the difference between normal or acceptable damages and non-acceptable damages
- Learn what the Rentanorm is, why it exists and how to apply it in daily operations
- Charge damages to drivers transparently and learn techniques on how to raise driver awareness
- Get to know different repair methods, from classic repairs to innovative and smart repair techniques
The focus is on clarity, confidence and practical decision making.
You will also have the opportunity to network with like‑minded professionals during lunch and the afterwork drink.
You will put theory into practice during a guided vehicle inspection exercise, supported by experts from DriveX. You’ll learn how to:
- Look at a vehicle step by step to identify damages
- Describe and catagorise damages correctly
- Avoid subjective interpretations and become consistent
